Yant Flat & Candy Cliffs Guided Tour

People that have hiked Yant Flat to visit Candy Cliffs say they haven’t said “WOW” so many times since they listened to Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon with headphones on.

This remote and colorful area of Southern Utah can be reached from St George in about one hour, from Las Vegas in 2.5 hours or Kanab Utah in 1 hour 45 minutes. The area is exceptional for both hikers and photographers and isn't in the well-traveled/photographed category like places such as Antelope Canyon, White Pocket, or Horseshoe Bend in Arizona. The hike is considered moderate and is a minimum of 4 miles roundtrip.

This area will reward you with the landscape images you are looking for. There will be constant views of Zion National Park as well as the multi-colored stripes of the Candy Cliffs that will keep you amazed all day. Utah’s famed Navajo Sandstone has been lifted up by the volcanic rock below and then weathered into the well-known domes, creating features known as “brain rock” and “turtlebacks” that are located throughout Arizona and Utah. Checking out all these features might just leave you speechless. Those that have visited Coyote Buttes or White Pocket, will recognize the familiar feel found in the rock formations here, but will no doubt appreciate the differences of the color palette.
